Our HummZinger® Ultra feeder provides perches for hummingbirds to sit and eat and allows us to catch a rare glimpse of these beautiful creatures feeding at rest.
The HummZinger® Ultra combines patented Nectar-Guard tips with a built-in ant moat. Nectar-Guard tips are flexible membranes attached to the HummZinger® Ultra's feed ports. These unique tips restrict entry from flying insects while allowing unrestricted feeding by the hummingbirds. The built-in ant moat stops crawling insects in their tracks before they can reach the nectar. These two patented features combine to give our HummZinger® Ultra the ultimate in protection from both flying and crawling insects while you get to enjoy the hummingbirds.
The HummZinger® Ultra has 4 ports and holds 12 ounces of nectar. This feeder is very easy to clean. The cover is bright red to attract hummingbirds and has raised flowers to prevent rain from running into the bowl. Both the red cover and the clear bowl are polycarbonate. Hanging rod is solid brass. Hummingbird Nectar Recipe
The proper nectar mixture for hummingbirds is 1 (one) part white table sugar to 4 (four) parts water.

Pour 4 cups of water into a pan and add 1 cup of white table sugar. Stir the two ingredients and bring to a boil. (Boiling helps slow fermentation). Once the liquid starts to boil, take the mixture off the heat. If you leave it too long, you could boil the water out of the mixture. Allow the sugar solution to cool before filling your feeder. Extra nectar should be stored in your refrigerator.

Do not use a sweeter mixture - this will cause harm to the birds.
Do not substitute honey for sugar.
Do not add any dye or coloring to the mixture, it is not necessary.
