 Chimney
Swift Range Map
The Chimney Swift breeds east of the Rocky Mountains from
east-central Saskatchewan and southern Manitoba to
southern Quebec and New Brunswick, south to eastern New
Mexico, south-central and southern Texas, the Gulf Coast
and south-central Florida. It winters in South America.
The Chimney Swift is not confined to any single habitat,
as it's breeding range is largely dependent on suitable
nesting sites. Formerly found in habitats with mature,
hollow trees, the Chimney Swift now occurs primarily in
the vicinity of buildings in towns, cities and around
farms.
